S45C Zinc-Plated Machine Base with Internal and External Threads

Manufactured from high-strength 7075-T6 aluminum alloy, this component features a maximum outside diameter of Ø86.2 mm and a main inside diameter of Ø84.0 mm, creating an approximately 1.2 mm thin-wall structure.

The component incorporates an M24.8 × 0.75–6g custom fine external thread. Compared with a standard coarse thread, this specification requires precise control of the thread diameter, pitch, and surface quality while maintaining concentricity between the threaded shaft and the large thin-wall housing.

Large thin-wall parts are susceptible to deformation and vibration during clamping and machining. The process therefore requires careful control of wall geometry, concentricity between multiple diameters, and the positional relationship between the threaded shaft and the main housing.

ReSol combines controlled machining sequences, workholding strategies, and cutting parameters to maintain dimensional stability while achieving a lightweight, integrated structure.
